Our founding team, leading team, media team, marketing team, and performance teams are working hard to musically and meaningfully expand the initiatives of Collingwood Classical Music Club to infinite and beyond.

Lucas Yu

Lucas began playing piano at the age of three and has since attained First Class Honours with Distinction on his ARCT Piano Diploma. He has competed in regional, national, and international competitions and festivals, and has performed at Carnegie Hall and with the VMO Orchestra.

Hey! I’m Daniel Li, a Grade 12 student with a longtime love for music, especially the piano. I earned my ARCT Diploma in Piano with First Class Honours, and music has been an important part of my life both as a performer and as a way to connect with others.

Matthew Yu

Matthew, now a freshman at Stanford, started playing piano at age 4. As a designated Young Steinway Artist, he exemplifies his passion for music in various competitions, festivals, and talent shows. He's also a composer and has worked with the VMO orchestra for fundraising concerts.

William Wei

William is at freshman at Emory University whose deep appreciation for music and passion for hosting senior home activities inspire him to connect young artists with the local community. Starting music at 3 years old, he has played the saxophone, trumpet, and piano.

Frank Zhou

Membership Director

Frank is a Grade 12 student with a lifelong passion for classical music. He has played the piano and the violin for over 10 years, completing his ARCT Diploma in Piano Performance.

Nini Lu

Events Director

Nini Lu is a pianist and cellist with 12 years of piano and 8 years of cello experience. She has completed the RCM ARCT in Piano and Cello, earning First Class Honours with Distinction in both.

Charles Lim

Director of Innovation

Charles Lim is a Grade 10 cellist at Collingwood School. He began violin at age five and cello at nine, making his orchestral debut with the Vancouver Academy of Music in 2022. Charles is principal cellist of VAMSO.

Sam Charaley

Co-Director of Music & Programming

Hi! I’m Sam Charaley, a Grade 10 student and violinist from Vancouver. I’ve been playing the violin since I was seven and currently enjoy performing and listening to classical music.

Joye Lu

Co-Director of Music & Programming

Joye is a Grade 11 student who has been playing piano for over 10 years. He has completed his ARCT piano diploma and is passionate about classical music, particularly the works of composers such as Chopin.

Junior Program Director

Haro is one of the Junior Program Directors this year in CCMC. He is currently ARCT for violin, and plays other instruments including the piano, clarinet, and baritone saxophone.

Hey! I’m Emma, a Grade 8 student at Collingwood. I’m an ARCT-level pianist and intermediate cellist, and I’ve had the opportunity to accompany multiple orchestras and play cello in chamber groups at VSO.

Dorsa Shaeri

Social Media Director

Dorsa is a Grade 11 student with a passion for creativity, leadership, and connecting with others. Outside of academics, she is an accomplished competitive chess player and enjoys travelling, reading, cooking, and exploring different cultures and languages.

Tiffany Deng is a Grade 10 student at Collingwood School with a passion for impact, creativity, and community involvement.

Sophie Luan

Co-Director of Creative Design

Sophie is an eighth grader at Collingwood School. She’s interested in music, and enjoys reading. She would describe herself as someone kind, fun, and outgoing.

Director of Visual Design

Brian is a Grade 11 student, with an avid passion for photography and cinematography, aiming to bridge the gap between the visual and performing arts, telling stories through stills and motion.

Joanna Kang

Website Director

Joanna is a Grade 9 student who enjoys being involved in her community and finding ways to bring people together. She likes to build and design things, using her creativity to share ideas.
