How It All Started
Over the past decade at Collingwood School, there existed significant student interest in classical music. However, there was no such organization within the school program to represent their passion, leading to many students feeling discouraged or even stopping the pursuit of music altogether.
And for young artists who already had a grasp in the realm of classical music, their talents often went under-appreciated due to a lack of opportunities.
The hope of sparking a more vibrant art community and encouraging more people to pick up musical aspirations inspired us to create the Collingwood Classical Music Club.
Our Goals
We are devoted to improving our local community and school environment through spreading the joy of music. This includes providing professional performances as well as musical workshops for the greater public.

We are enthusiastic about developing performance confidence for students of all instruments, ages, and levels. Moreover, for Collingwood musicians who are already experienced in a concert-setting, we seek to appreciate their efforts through sharing their passion with a greater audience, especially considering how playing an instrument in the current day and age may feel obscure and difficult.

We aim to increase student participation in the performing arts, inspiring younger generations to foster their creativity and self-expression through a platform that creates performance opportunities.
