Frequently Asked Questions
There are no set weekly meetings for Classical Music Club. Rather, there are frequent events that all members may sign up for, such as community performances, guest speaker presentations, and school concerts. Occasionally, there will be team meetings before school or during lunch, but those will be announced ahead of time.
We welcome musicians of all genres of music to our club, not just the ones who specialize in classical music. If you play jazz, modern, or if you are just learning miscellaneous pieces of music, you are encouraged to join our club! During community performances, we hope to foster as much diversity as possible, and different genres of music will help vary the program.
Yes, absolutely! We are passionate about all students, no matter their skill level, to join the club and participate in performances. One of our main goals is to develop confidence for novel performers and students who are new to the music world.
In the past, we have amazing performances from students who have just been learning flute for a few weeks, and also pianists who have been playing for years. The skill level is very broad, and we welcome everybody.
All instruments are welcome to join. In the past, we have had violinists, violists, pianists, cellists, flautists, drummers, guitarists, singers, etc.
Please visit our events calendar for upcoming events. There are also event details and sign up sheets attached corresponding to each event.

We are also working on securing performances at prominent Vancouver locations, running music workshops in less-privileged schools, collaborating with Indigenous artists, inviting guest speakers, and setting up an Interdisciplinary Art Show at Collingwood School.
