Sophie Meng is an eighth-grade student at Collingwood School with a keen interest in creative writing, public speaking, and art. She is passionate about playing the piano and also serves as the choir accompanist for the school choirs starting from grade 4. Some of her most recent accomplishments are her debut as a soloist with the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra in November 2023 and placing 2nd in the second age group of the International Chopin Piano Competition for Youth and Children in Szafarnia, Poland, in June 2024. In her free time, Sophie loves spending time with her dogs and enjoys a balance between her academic and personal interests.
